FUTURE CITIES LAB (FCL) – Fabrication Design Lead

 JANUARY 2017 - Present

As head of Fabrication Design at Future Cities Lab I take speculative designs created by our principle architects, Jason Johnson and Nataly Gattengo and use CAD software to render out possible construction schedules and building strategies. I use the full range of digital fabrication tools including CNC, 3D printing, laser / water-jet cutting, etc. to prototype connections, colors, materials, and finishes. Beyond design and fabrication, I manage projects, budget, source materials, and help develop RFQ's for new projects with 2D and 3d design assets.

MILLS COLLEGE ART MUSEUM (MCAM) – DIGITIZING TECHNICIAN

 APRIL 2014 - OCTOBER 2016

At MCAM, I helped create a digital archive of the museum's collection to be accessed by curators around the world. Using professional photography equipment and Adobe CC, I documented 2D and 3D objects, compiled condition reports, and catalogued data in a museum specific software database called EMBARK. I also designed and wrote the technical manual for best practices that the museum now uses to train its digitizing staff.
