WHAT WILL THE CITY AROUND US BE THINKING, SEEING AND FEELING IN THE NEAR FUTURE? HOW WILL ITS DESIRES AND FEARS MANIFEST? WHAT WILL BE MOST IMPORTANT?

MURMUR WALL is and interactive project that mines and displays the 20 most searched Twitter items in any geographical location. It's a cultural mirror that reads our thoughts and our desires as a culture and reflects them back to us.

Materials: Wood, Steel, 3D Printed PLA, Acrylic, LEDs

Responsibilities:

My role as fabrication design lead was to adapt the project and its iterations to each new venue using 3D models and renderings to help pre-visualize the work in each new space and then build it. I oversaw the the shipping, installation, and deinstallation of the work at each location. As part of Future Cities Lab I have designed, built, and installed various iterations of this project in three separate locations: San Francisco, Palo Alto, and recently in Milan for the design fair.
