Bed-Side Computer Holders

Tired of not having anywhere to put my laptop after watching Netflix or working in bed..I designed and built these bedside wall-mount computer holders. Where do you put your computer at night? On the night stand? Next to your water? Next to your wine? Save space and save your computer's life from spillage, use a wall-mount computer holder.

Exploring my research on Japanese Shinto Torii Gates I designed this set of side tables that resemble George Lucas' iconic "All Terrain Armored Transport" vehicles (At-At Walkers) from Empire Strikes Back, 87'. Designed in Rhino 3D, rendered in Octane.

CAN OUR URBAN ENVIRONMENTS BECOME SENTIENT PARTICIPANTS IN OUR DAILY LIVES? CAN THESE IMMERSIVE SPACES ACTIVATE OTHERWISE NEGLECTED VOIDS?

These designs and renders served as the pre-visualization blueprint for a interior commission I did at Vina Enoteca, an Italian restaurant in Palo Alto, CA. The work is a wall of custom made ceramic slabs held up by a powder coated stainless steel armature system that spans 12' across and 10' high to give a distinctive infusion of color to the central dining area. AT-AT WALKER SIDE TABLES

Commuting over the Bay Bridge is zero fun. To find solace, my imagination was caught anthropomorphizing the shipping cranes that jut into Oakland skyline. I learned later that George Lucas was afflicted by the same daydream and as a result designed his iconic At-At Walkers (All Terrain Armored Transport) from his 87' Star Wars film, Empire Strikes Back. Merging that with a design research project i was working on at the time, Shinto Torii Gates of Japan, was compelled to design and build these side tables that merge each influence. Learning to layer influences into something new and cohesive is an essential skill for a designer.
