FUTURE CITIES LAB (FCL) – Fabrication Design Lead

 JANUARY 2017 - Present

As head of Fabrication Design at Future Cities Lab I take the concept designs created by our principle architects, Jason Johnson and Nataly Gattengo and develop strategies to build them and created detail production schedules. Creating renderings and CAD models I use the full range of digital fabrication tools including a range of CNC machinery to prototype the complexities of each project and test colors, materials, and finishes. Beyond these duties, I project manage, source, do quality control, and help develop RFQ's with 2D and 3d assets.

MILLS COLLEGE ART MUSEUM (MCAM) – DIGITIZING TECHNICIAN

 APRIL 2014 - OCTOBER 2016

At MCAM, I helped create a private digital archive of the Museum's art collection so it could be accessed by curators around the world. Using professional photography equipment and Adobe CC, I documented 2D and 3D objects, wrote condition reports, and catalogued data in a museum specific software database called EMBARK. I also designed and wrote the technical manual for best practices that the museum now uses to train its digitizing staff.

Univ. of California Santa cruz (UCSC) – teaching Assistant

 AUGUST 2011 - JUNE 2013

I independently taught art and design studio courses at UCSC for two years. I had my own classes of up to 50 students, gave lectures, created course curriculum, wrote syllabi, and did grading evaluations. My courses covered everything from hardline graphic and architectural drafting to Plein Air (painting outdoors in the moment) landscape painting around the Santa Cruz area.
